Assembly of Giants depicts the unusual view one gets when peering up at the Douglas fir forest canopy. The symbolic implications of this interesting perspective of the forest captured Lesley Friedmann's interest: instead of being discombobulated and confused within a profusion of tree trunks, the view up through the dense foliage many feet away instilled a sense of peace, awe and humility.
