In this original oil painting, Drama at Myra Falls, Lesley captures the surge of snow melt in the spring as it flows from the alpine mountains surrounding Buckle Lake in Strathcona Park on Vancouver Island. These particularly magnificent waterfalls can be viewed along the trails of one of the park's wonderful hiking trails. Lesley photographed this waterfall during one of her hiking trips with her family. Intricate detail and fluid brushstrokes highlight Lesley ability to transform her landscape surroundings into elegant impressionistic and multilayered mosaic paintings rich in surface texture, and alive in colour.
